ii. the DUNS number
iii. or the ACN number
of any Australian business entity.
(i) If searching by name, you can search by either “exact” or “sounds like”.
Exact name search lists entities that contain the string searched on in their name.
Sounds like search lists entities with similar matching names. For each entity, the
town and postcode of the registered office will be listed as well as the DUNS number.
Click on the name of any entity in the list to see the details on the
ABN Check page.
(ii) or (iii) If searching by the DUNS or ACN number, the numbers must match exactly
the numbers of the entity you are looking for. Click on Search to go straight to the
entity details on the ABN Check page.
ABN Check page displays basic registration details of a business entity. This includes:
- Australian Business Number
- Registered Name
- Trading Style
- Trading Address
- ACN
- Legal Structure
Australian Business Register
Next to the ABN:. field is a link labeled View the
ABN Extract. This links to the Australian Business Register, where you can
see the Current ABN Details of an entity. The extract includes ABN Status,
Legal Name, Trading Name(s), Entity Type, and the State in which the entity
is registered. You may search within the Australian Business Register if you
wish.
